2016
It started with a red that did not exist
Our founder spent a decade formulating colour for other houses before deciding the red she wanted had never been made. Four years and sixty-one iterations later, Rouge Maison became the first thing Velmora ever sold. It is still the shade we are judged by.
The Atelier
Everything is made in France
Formulation, milling and filling all happen within two hours of Paris. We own the formulas outright, which means we can refuse a launch when a shade is not ready — and we regularly do.
Our Standards
Four rules we do not bend
Two years of testing
No formula reaches a case before it has been worn, daily, for two full years.
Refill before replace
Every case is built to outlive the colour inside it.
Clinically tested
Dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested, including on sensitive eyes.
No animal testing
At no stage, in no market, by no third party.
